If you opt for an organized bus trip to Chemnitz, you can take part in a city tour there. You will visit the most important sights of the city such as the Einsiedler Brauhaus, the New Town Hall, the Karl Marx Monument and much more.
Dresden is about 60 km from Schloss Purschenstein. You can take the bus to Dresden from the hotel on an organized day trip or drive your own vehicle. If you opt for an organized bus trip to Dresden, a guided city tour will take you to the most important sights of the city such as the unique Frauenkirche, the Residenzschloss, the Altmarkt and much more.

Seiffen and its famous Christmas market
In the immediate vicinity of the Schlosshotel Purschenstein lies the village of Seiffen, famous for its wooden toys. Every year a festive Christmas market takes place here, attracting people from all over the world.
Advent and Christmas is a very special time for the people in the Erzgebirge region. Centuries-old traditions, which were characterized by the unique Erzgebirge craftsmanship (smokers, Schwibbögen, pyramids, nutcracker ...) found here to a large extent their origin. But outside the Christmas season, the toy village Seiffen is worth a visit. Look over the shoulders of one of the many artisans who pass their filigree work from generation to generation, visit the Toy Museum or the summer toboggan run.
